I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage in me the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other.
Bucky is about 5'9," muscular, and always looks tired. He's about 100, but only looks to be about 30 years old. His appearance is pretty unremarkable, apart from his left arm, which is cybernetic. Day to day, he usually covers it with a jacket and gloves.
He usually dresses in a combination of jeans, t-shirts, work boots, and one of three black jackets (his good black leather jacket, his work black leather jacket, and his black fabric jacket).
Demeanor & Attitude
Bucky comes off a little tired and grumpy, but he's got a soft spot for kids, small animals, and people who really need his help.
Voice
Perpetually deadpan. Rough around the edges. Slight Indiana regional accent when he's speaking English, Russian and French, if he's not trying to mask it. Speaks other Slavic langauges with a slight Russian accent. His German, however, is impeccable.
Magic & Telepathy
No special abilities that would interfere with a telepath, but he's deeply traumatized and repeatedly brainwashed, so telepaths might find his brain distressing and hard to navigate. Trying to prove the deep recesses of his brain probably feels something like watching this in a VR headset.
Shipping
Open To: m/m, m/f, m/nb (nonbinary)
Canon Ships: Any combination of Steve, Natasha, Sharon, Sam, Clint, and Bruce (I don't think they've spoken in the comics, but it works, don't @ me). Open to others, though. Lay it on me.
Cross Canon: Open.
Not Interested: Lines with characters under 20 (unless it's set in the past), lines that hypersexualize his captivity and brainwashing. (I realize there's a larger conversation about Bucky's ability to consent in general while he was brainwashed, but I'm mostly just talking about about Bucky/captor lines.)
Other: I'm not really into PWP or fluff ships for this character. Unless we're working with an established relationship, I like to build ships slowly based on chemistry, connection and conflict that gives the relationship between the characters realistic depth, and then see where it goes.
IC PERMISSIONS
Physical Contact: Yes. Bucky doesn't like it when strangers touch him, but this is an IC actions = IC consequences situation so feel free to go for it.
Mental Contact: Yes. If your character is a telepath, any surface-level thoughts I mention in the prose/action description are fair game. For anything deeper, contact me first to work out the details. Bucky's brain is kind of a mess (per the above).
Flirting: Yes. Bucky is fine with flirting, but a little rusty.
Fighting: Yes. He's the fightiest.
Injury: Yes, but let's discuss anything serious before we start.
OOC PERMISSIONS
Backtagging: Yes. I am the backtaggingest bitch alive, so feel free to revisit something of ours two years after your last tag. Or to poke me about something I dropped or direct me to a post you want me to hit.
Fourthwalling: Cool if you have a specific idea for it, or you just want to say that you know him by reputation. But don't describe his canon to him, or get overly familiar without OOC discussion. And unless it's in a game where other Marvel character are already fourthwalled, I'd rather you didn't tell him he's fictional.
